Hobby Master 1/72 HA6623 Eurofighter EF-2000 “Baltic Air Policing” 30+89, Luftwaffe, Lagge, July 2022 - RRP £105.99

Limited Edition

Baltic Air Policing is a NATO mission that began in 2004 when the three Baltic countries, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania joined NATO. These countries receive the Policing Action because they don't have the required air capabilities. Some NATO members rotate flying over these countries to protect the airspace from intrusions by Russia, especially since the 2014 Russian invasion of Crimea. Missions last four months before another air force assumes the duties. The Baltic Air-Policing mission is purely defensive.

The Taurus KEPD-350 is a long-range, air-to-surface cruise missile developed by Germany and Sweden. Designed for precision strikes, it features stealth capabilities, terrain-following navigation, and a 500-kilogram dual-stage warhead. With a range of over 500 kilometers, its used to destroy high-value, fortified targets while minimizing collateral damage.

Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon S

Designed as part of a co-operative effort by Germany, Italy and the UK to produce an air superiority fighter, the Eurofighter was first flown on March 27th, 1994. The Eurofighter is a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft used in air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. It is intentionally aerodynamically unstable, which gives it its high levels of agility-but this means the Typhoon is controlled by a computerized "fly by wire" system instead of by its pilot. The Eurofighter's first rate performance is matched by excellent all round vision and by sophisticated attack, identification and defense systems and stealth technology.
