JC Wings Military 1/72 JCW72FW190003 - FW 190A-8 LUFTWAFFE, JG26, FRANCE, 1945
Recreate a legendary aircraft from the final stages of the Second World War with this superb JC Wings 1:72 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8, representing the aircraft associated with renowned German fighter ace Josef "Pips" Priller of the Luftwaffe's Jagdgeschwader 26 (JG 26), based in France during 1945.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of Germany's most formidable single-engine fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Designed by Kurt Tank and powered by a powerful BMW radial engine, the Fw 190 combined exceptional firepower, impressive speed and outstanding manoeuvrability. Introduced in 1941, it quickly established itself as a highly effective opponent to Allied fighters and served extensively in both air superiority and ground-attack roles.
The Fw 190A-8 was among the most extensively produced variants of the aircraft, featuring improved armament, additional equipment and refinements developed through years of combat experience.
Josef "Pips" Priller was one of the Luftwaffe's most successful fighter aces, credited with 101 aerial victories during the war. Serving predominantly on the Western Front, Priller became particularly well known for his association with JG 26 "Schlageter" and his famous low-level flight over the Normandy invasion beaches on D-Day, 6 June 1944.
This highly detailed diecast replica recreates the distinctive appearance of Priller's Fw 190A-8, featuring the recognisable "Black 13" markings, authentic Luftwaffe camouflage and carefully reproduced aircraft details. Produced by JC Wings in 1:72 scale, the model captures the rugged profile of this iconic German fighter, complete with finely detailed panel lines, realistic landing gear and a detailed cockpit.
An excellent addition to any Second World War aviation collection, this model offers a fascinating representation of one of the Luftwaffe's most recognisable fighter aircraft and pilots.
